Last Chance to see work by Tish Murtha

SIG: Documentary

Simon Maddison writes: At The Photographers Gallery you have until October 14th to see the wonderful engaged and committed work of Tish Murtha who documented the communities of the North East of England in the 70s and 80s. If you are able to get into London to see this do not miss it. Tish's life was cut short at the age of 56 and her daughter as archivist, with supporters, have worked to gain a new audience for this passionate documentary photographer.

On the way to the gallery down Oxford Street you have a chance to capture some street life of a different sort. Here I offer an image entitled General Litter and another Jesus was a Negro.
