Are you looking for a new challenge?   Would you like to take your Photography to a new level and get your work seen by a wider audience? Do you sometimes feel constrained by producing work for club competitions?

Iain McGowan FRPS will show a variety of ways of presenting a themed set of prints, all avoiding the use of Photoshop! From the importance of getting it right in camera to printing direct from your memory card. Examples will include joiners and collages, plus other ways of exhibiting your work.

Leigh Preston FRPS will share his thoughts and approach to using picture space, light and shadow, and how we can relate image design to expression and emotion.

Pete Bamforth ARPS. There comes a time in your photographic life when it is good to break out of your comfort zone. Pete will talk about possible places to go for ideas and inspiration.

John Bradshaw FRPS is a master of the monochrome world. He will explore monochrome in the digital age in all it’s manifestations including infra-red and digital alternative printing.

Janey Devine FRPS. Bringing mood and atmosphere into a set of images sometimes means “breaking the rules”. Janey will show a number of techniques to add impact to your photography.

The workshop will be based at the Bradford University Conference Centre - Heaton Mount - where we have access to a fully equipped spacious lecture room.

The three day workshop will comprise a mix of led discussions, photographic excursions, and 1:1 sessions with members of the Focus Group. The venue is just outside of Bradford, close to Salts Mill in Saltaire  and  a number of other interesting locations, all full of photographic potential.

The cost of the workshop is £225 (£250 for non RPS members). This does not include costs for meals and accommodation.  Payment can only be taken by cheque or bank transfer and cannot be booked online.

Double rooms will be available for participants who wish to stay at Heaton Mount (including breakfast and dinner).  Please note that they do not have twin bed rooms.   Please do not book accommodation until you have a confirmed place.

We are offering a 10% discount on the workshop fee for anyone booking before 11th February 2019.

Payment can only be made by bank transfer or cheque.   There are no online bookings for this workshop
