If you have ever wanted to create beautiful panoramas or 360 degree VR panoramas, then this is definitely the one-day workshop for you.  Your tutor, John Fox will show you how to shoot and process a normal panorama, including how to avoid stitching errors. This will be followed by a hands-on demonstration of the techniques used to create a 360 x 180 degree VR panorama using a DSLR and fisheye lens mounted on a pano bracket.

The pictures will then be processed in Lightroom followed by merging them in PTGui and outputting in Pano2VR as a finished 360 degree VR panorama. Sounds hard but it's very rewarding and you'll be totally hooked once you have learnt the basics.

The location for this one day RPS workshop is the stunning West Blatchington Windmill in Hove, East Sussex. We have hired the entire windmill for the day, so delegates are free to explore and photograph all the upper floors of this wonderfully preserved building during the afternoon “hands-on” session.

Suggested equipment for delegates to bring, would be any interchangeable lens DSLR camera, a tripod, a wide angle lens and a fish-eye lens if you have one.

Important Location Information

The whole of the ground floor where the lecture is being held is wheel chair accessible.

Given the nature of this old building with old wooden stairs and windy conditions throughout the upper parts of the building, it is recommended that flat shoes and trousers be worn by all.

Only on-street parking nearby is available so please allow enough time to find a place.

The ticket price includes tea and coffee refreshments at the start of the workshop and during breaks. All other refreshments or food are the responsibility of the participant.

Tickets cost £50 RPS members and £55 Non-Members.

To reserve your place on this workshop, which is limited to 20 participants, just click the Book Online button at the top of the page and follow the on-screen instructions. If you experience any difficulties booking your ticket please contact the organiser at
